We take care of our peoplebecause we know theyre the heart of everything we do.What You'll Do: Examine and regulate operation of mud pumps to ensure circulation and consistency of mud in well.Monitor entire mud system and analyze mud; mix mud in hopper by carrying 100 pound mud sacks from storage to hopper and emptying sacks into hopper.Assume primary responsibility for work on upper rig, including setting and securing crown block, stringing cables through pulleys and blocks, and clamping holding fixture on end of hoisting cable; clean and oil pulleys, blocks, and cables.Climb to and work on derrick board when tripping and making connections consistently wearing safety harness and following other working from heights safety procedures.Work from derrick board in tandem with Floorman, Motorman, and Driller; latch and unlatch elevators while hoisting and going in hole with drill pipe; work in tandem with rig crew and casing crew while running casing.Operate boom line, air hoist/hydraulic hoists to lift and move heavy supplies, equipment, and pipe.Move casing or drill pipe joints to and from pipe racks, catwalk, ramp, and rig floor as required.Perform routine and preventive rig servicing, repair, and maintenance, including scrubbing and painting, when operations do not require presence on derrick board or rig floor.
