Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with healthcare providers during patient visits to accurately document medical histories, physical examinations, treatment plans, and other relevant information.
  • Transcribe medical terminology and information in real-time into electronic health records (EHR) systems, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Organize and manage patient records, ensuring that all documentation is complete, legible, and in compliance with medical office standards and regulations.
  • Assist in coordinating patient appointments, follow-up visits, and procedures to ensure a streamlined patient experience.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information and adhere to all HIPAA regulations and office policies related to patient privacy.
  • Communicate effectively with healthcare providers, nurses, and other team members to ensure accurate and comprehensive documentation of patient encounters.
  • Help manage administrative tasks such as scanning documents, filing, and organizing medical records.
  • Participate in training sessions to enhance medical knowledge and scribing skills, staying up-to-date with medical terminology and procedures.
  • Provide general administrative support to the medical office as needed.
