Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a clinical setting is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in dermatology, is a plus.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for positive patient interactions.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and professionalism.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a healthcare environment.
- Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and standard office software is beneficial.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and gathering comprehensive medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and procedures by ensuring all necessary instruments and equipment are prepared and available.
- Conduct basic laboratory tests and manage the collection and handling of clinical specimens.
- Maintain accurate and confidential patient records, adhering to regulatory guidelines.
- Schedule patient appointments and facilitate effective office communications to optimize workflow.
- Educate patients on treatment options, medication use, and effective skincare routines.
- Ensure that examination rooms are clean, organized, and stocked with appropriate medical supplies.
