Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; Medical Assistant certification is preferred.
- Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a dermatology clinical setting is desirable.
- Knowledge of medical terminology related to dermatology.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for engaging with patients effectively.
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
- Excellent organizational abilities and keen attention to detail in a clinical environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer applications is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for examinations by recording vital signs and obtaining thorough medical histories.
- Assist physicians during examinations and dermatological procedures by preparing instruments and providing support.
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis as needed.
- Maintain precise and confidential patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations.
- Manage appointment scheduling and facilitate effective communication within the practice.
- Educate patients on treatment plans, medications, and appropriate skincare techniques.
- Keep examination rooms clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary medical supplies.
