Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Dermatology | McLean & Potomac Dermatology and Skincare Center Location: McLean, VA Schedule: Full-Time | Includes Saturday Hours Commitment: Two-Year Commitment Required Are you a motivated, detail-oriented LPN looking to grow your clinical skills in a dynamic dermatology practice? McLean & Potomac Dermatology and Skincare Center is expanding, and we are seeking an exceptional Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dedicated team. Our practice provides comprehensive care in adult and pediatric dermatology, cosmetic dermatology, and skin cancer surgery. The role includes both clinical and administrative responsibilities, including direct patient care, assisting with procedures, and scribing during patient visits. This is not a cosmetic injector position. However, you will gain exposure to aesthetic treatments and technologies through patient care and structured training.

Requirements

  • Current LPN license in good standing in Virginia
  • 2+ years of clinical experience preferred (dermatology or outpatient experience is a plus)
  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment
  • Strong computer skills; proficiency with Mac computers and iPads preferred

Nice To Haves

  • Dermatology or procedural experience is helpful but not required — we provide comprehensive training

Responsibilities

  • Assist providers during dermatologic procedures (biopsies, excisions, laser treatments, etc.)
  • Accompany providers during patient visits to document in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Room patients, obtain and document medical histories, and perform patient intake
  • Perform clinical tasks within LPN scope of practice, including wound care, suture removals, post-procedure care, and medication administration as permitted
  • Educate patients on treatment plans and home care instructions
  • Assist with non-invasive cosmetic treatments (CoolSculpting, laser therapies, skin tightening — training provided)
  • Maintain OSHA and HIPAA compliance standards
  • Support overall clinical workflow and team collaboration
