We offer an extensive range of care options with over 70 affiliated physicians and NP/PA providers and a full complement of visiting specialists. Key Position Details: We are looking to add a Dermatology Advanced Practice Provider to our growing practice in New Ulm Minnesota. This position will be a .8 FTE with room to increase as the practice grows.

Requirements

• Master's degree - Completion of accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
• New grads will be considered with experience or a rotation completed in Dermatology.
• Licensed Physician Assistant - MN Board of Medical Practice required upon hire
• ACLS-BLS Tier 2 - Multisource required within 180 Days
• Certification as Physician Assistant - NCCPA (National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants) required upon hire
• Drug Enforcement Administration required upon hire

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical care for patients
• Completes comprehensive patient assessments.
• Determines diagnosis and treatment of illness.
• Orders and interprets medical diagnostics in tandem with attending physician.
• Prescribes medications, treatments, therapy and medical equipment.
• Conducts patient education when working to manage chronic illness or wellness care.
• Refers for specialty care when determined.
• Consults with physician when patient needs outside of Physician Assistant scope of practice, diagnosis or treatment plan is unclear.
• Promotes communication within the team and other interdisciplinary health care staff.
• Acts as resource to members of the team.
• Works with primary care team for program development.
• Acts as liaison with outside agencies as needed.
• Collaborates with hospital staff by consulting and rounding on patients if designated by the specialty.
• Other duties as assigned.
