About The Position

Kelsey-Seybold Clinic is Houston's premier multispecialty group practice, founded in 1949 by Dr. Mavis Kelsey in Houston's famous Texas Medical Center. More than 500 physicians and allied health professionals practice at 25+ locations and an accredited Sleep Center in the Greater Houston area. Medical services offered by Kelsey-Seybold include medical care in 55 medical specialties including primary care and specialty care, outpatient surgery centers, an accredited Sleep Center, a Radiation Therapy Center, laboratory services, advanced radiology services and other diagnostic services, 15 on-site Kelsey pharmacies, and a secure web portal for patients to communicate with their Kelsey-Seybold doctors, get test results and schedule appointments. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists see a wide range of patients including adult and pediatric. They diagnose, treat, and manage all types of medical dermatology conditions including (but not limited to) acne, eczema, psoriasis, bullous diseases, and skin cancers. The Kelsey-Seybold Dermatology team is growing. Currently, 19 providers see patients at 11 Kelsey-Seybold locations in the greater Houston area. Of the 19 providers, two are dermatopathologists and one is a Mohs surgeon. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists offer many additional services for patients including phototherapy (nbUVB, PUVA, excimer), extended patch testing, and select cosmetic services. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists collaborate extensively with other Kelsey specialists including General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Radiation Oncology. Kelsey-Seybold dermatologists are invited to participate in a monthly tumor board as well as a journal club that meets quarterly.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved training program in the United States.
  • Licensed in the State of Texas.
  • Board Certified/Board Eligible.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, treat, and manage all types of medical dermatology conditions including acne, eczema, psoriasis, bullous diseases, and skin cancers.
  • Provide phototherapy, extended patch testing, and select cosmetic services.
  • Collaborate with other Kelsey specialists including General Surgery, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Hematology/Oncology, Rheumatology, Infectious Disease, and Radiation Oncology.
  • Participate in a monthly tumor board and quarterly journal club.
