The position is responsible for direct patient care by reviewing patients' medical histories while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation. The role involves providing education, consultation, or intervention to patients and their families, and delivering specialized care to patients with diseases of the skin, hair, nails, and mucous membranes. The physician will evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with benign and malignant disorders of the integumentary system as well as sexually transmitted diseases. The position requires collaboration with patients to improve their health and well-being, practicing in a thoughtful manner that considers cultural diversity, individual autonomy, and legal responsibilities. The physician will chart in electronic format in accordance with licensure and scope and actively participate in a multidisciplinary team approach to case management. The role may involve providing care in an ambulatory clinic, inpatient, or outpatient hospital setting and may require participation in an on-call rotation.
