  • Use and apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts, and techniques to perform complex engineering activities.
  • Support the development of technical documentation including designs, testing, calculations, and reports.
  • Provide ongoing technical support for project activities in Operations, Maintenance, testing/diagnostics, and Regulatory.
  • Lead small-medium, non-critical projects and coordinate critical projects under the direction of a higher-level engineer or supervisor.
  • Support bid/evaluation processes including preparation of bid documents and technical evaluations for proposals.
  • Exchange information with inter-organizational and outside customers on complex matters.
  • Assign tasks and coordinate work of interns, drafters, technicians, and craft personnel, providing guidance and mentoring to less experienced engineers.
  • Perform budgeting, estimating, forecasting, accounting, and work order management in support of engineering projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum (or recognized equivalency).
  • 2+ years relevant engineering experience for Staff Engineer; 5+ years for Sr. Engineer; 9+ years for Principal Engineer.
  • Demonstrated broad knowledge and proficiency in specialty area and related disciplines.
  • EIT/FE (Engineer in Training/Fundamentals of Engineering) strongly preferred for Staff and Sr. Engineer; required for Principal Engineer.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Technical experience with Distributed Energy Resources preferred.
  • PE (Professional Engineer) registration may be required depending on business need for Sr. and Principal Engineer levels.
