About The Position

The Deputy UAP Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the UAP Manager in overseeing the operations of the production plant. This position is integral to ensuring that the plant operates efficiently and meets customer expectations through effective management of resources and personnel. The Deputy UAP Manager is responsible for managing a team of supervisors, ensuring that the total number of personnel does not exceed 200. This role requires a strong commitment to quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) indicators, which must align with customer expectations. The Deputy UAP Manager will be involved in setting and monitoring targets for each supervisor, focusing on key performance indicators such as parts per million (ppm), parts per hour (pph), total productive maintenance (TRS), absenteeism rates, and safety metrics. In addition to monitoring performance, the Deputy UAP Manager will be responsible for resource management, adapting headcount and shift organization based on production volume, and optimizing equipment usage. The role also involves immediate problem resolution, including containment actions and the development of corrective action plans when issues arise. The Deputy UAP Manager will lead teamwork and problem-solving initiatives, facilitating workshops and groups focused on continuous improvement methodologies such as 5S, Hoshin, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), and Single-Minute Exchange of Die (SMED). Furthermore, the Deputy UAP Manager will play a key role in budgeting for manufacturing costs, ensuring that the UAP operates within financial targets. This position also requires participation in the launch of new products, ensuring that the manufacturing process is prepared for new product introductions, including line preparation, team training, and specification adjustments. The Deputy UAP Manager will define thresholds for problem escalation and ensure that the plant meets its operational goals effectively.
