The City of Watertown is looking for Deputy Treasurer/Clerk to support the Finance Office! Interested candidates will manage tax reporting, compiling budget reports, tracking departmental funds while at the same time being able to interface with citizens in the community. Position Summary Under the general supervision of the Finance Director, and in accordance with all laws and statutes of the State of Wisconsin and the policies of the City of Watertown, performs a wide range of clerical and administrative support functions for the Finance Department. Performs the work of the Finance Director or City Clerk as delegated in the absence of these officials. Unless assigned temporarily, there are no supervisory responsibilities. This supporting position is responsible for assisting in the organization, direction, and coordination of all activities of the Finance Department to include processing subsidiary ledger accounting tasks, general ledger financial reconciliation, tax billing and collecting, audit preparation, issuing municipal licenses, and election preparation.
