About The Position
Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Deputy Tax Clerk I. This position processes tax payments and vehicle registrations by verifying paperwork, entering payment and account information into the computer system, balancing cash and checks and preparing the bank deposit. Prepares tax certificates by researching account histories, printing, signing and sealing the certificate, collecting fee and issuing receipt. Processes bankruptcy payments and correspondence. Provides clerical support by answering phone calls, assisting taxpayers with questions, balancing cash drawer, filing and faxing. Performs other duties as required.
