About The Position
The Ellis County Sheriff's Office is now accepting applications for Deputy Sheriff. A TCOLE Certified Peace Officer licensed is preferred but not required to apply. The position is full-time and located at 300 S. Jackson, Waxahachie, Texas. The salary for a Deputy Cadet is $65,880.00 annually, while a Deputy Step 1 earns $72,468.00 annually with opportunities for the Lateral Entry Program for Certified TCOLE Peace Officers. A 6-step pay scale is available through the step-pay program. Applicants must pass a written and physical agility test to be considered for employment, with testing dates to be determined.
