  • Patrol assigned areas and respond to calls for service, taking appropriate action.
  • Enforce state penal and traffic laws and County resolutions.
  • Effect arrests and use approved techniques of arrest control and defensive tactics.
  • Conduct visual and audio surveillance for extended periods.
  • Maintain knowledge of current laws and legal standards.
  • Operate a law enforcement vehicle in emergency situations.
  • Gather information in criminal investigations by interviewing victims and witnesses.
  • Assist in County search and rescue operations.
  • Prepare cases and testify in court as needed.
  • Engage in law enforcement patrol functions, including foot patrols.
  • Secure crime scenes and preserve evidence.
  • Prepare and execute arrest and search warrants.
