About The Position
The Deputy Sheriff Recruit position is an entry-level role within the Fresno County Sheriff's Office, designed for individuals pursuing a career in law enforcement. Recruits will attend a Basic Peace Officers Academy, where they will receive training in law enforcement procedures, physical fitness, firearms handling, and other essential skills. This role requires commitment to rigorous training and the ability to perform non-sworn duties as needed. Successful candidates will transition to permanent Deputy Sheriff positions upon completion of the academy and meeting all necessary qualifications.
