This position is for a non-sworn agency employee who is training to become an entry-level Certified Deputy Sheriff. Deputy Sheriff Recruits are responsible for performing a full range of civilian duties in any of the bureaus of the Sheriff's Office, including, but not limited to the following: patrol ride-a-longs, community outreach events, investigations, administrative duties, or support services assistance. The recruit may be assigned temporarily to a specialty area within the agency based on needs.
