Under general supervision, performs a variety of duties in support of the legal and judicial functions of the Sheriff's office and the activities of the local courts. Work includes serving a variety of civil process documents; executing evictions, levies, and other court ordered actions; and transporting prisoners and other persons to and from court. Employee must exercise tact, courtesy and firmness in contact with the general public. Employee is subject to the usual hazards of law enforcement work. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.
