This is for a future opportunity MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Deputy Project Manager to join our team in the Tampa, FL commuting area. This is a unique opportunity to join our tightly knit team supporting the U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) in the implementation and deployment of an OneStream software solution and maintaining its legacy Hyperion solution until changeover. This is a hybrid position that is expected to be on-site at the customer location in Tampa, Florida three (3) days per week and two (2) days remote. Candidate should be local to the Tampa area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field coupled with 8+ years software and/or finance experience
  • 10+ years of experience in program or project management, preferably within the IT or Government contracting sector.
  • Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE), Program Objective Memorandum (POM), Resource Allocation Plan (RAP) development, Acquisition Program Management to a Level I/II/III/ACAT program of record, or related experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and deliver results on time and within budget
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies and best practices (e.g., Agile, Waterfall)
  • Program Management Professional (PMP) certification.
  • US citizenship with the ability to obtain a TS/SCI clearance

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in business administration (MBA) or a related field
  • Consulting experience with federal departments, agencies, and organizations
  • Information systems project management experience
  • General knowledge of federal financial management processes and requirements
  • Experience consulting or delivering solutions to federal clients
  • Experience in the Department of Defense's Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) process

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with clients and project stakeholders to define project requirements and ensure alignment with overall program goals
  • Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, and resources
  • Lead and mentor project teams, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and issues
  • Monitor project progress and take corrective action as needed to maintain alignment with objectives
  • Oversee project deliverables and ensure quality meets client expectations.
  • Communicate project status updates to stakeholders effectively
  • Plan, staff, budget, and direct one or more project(s) to ensure the timely delivery of contractual commitments to customers
  • Obtains customer validation of outcomes achieved, and ROI delivered
