About The Position

L3Harris Space Superiority and Imaging Division is seeking a Deputy Program Manager to join the ISR Portfolio at L3Harris. You will be responsible for program management on active programs and capture management activities, splitting your time nominally 50/50 between these responsibilities. You will assume a key role in driving program success and new business opportunities within the portfolio. This position requires a track record of successful project delivery, customer engagement, strategic planning, and leadership capabilities. The Deputy Program Manager will report to the Portfolio Lead.

Requirements

  • Must Have an Active Top Secret Clearance with ability to get additional access
  • Bachelor’s Degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience; Or, Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience; Or, in lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience

Nice To Haves

  • Proven experience in capture management and business development activities
  • Strong customer engagement and relationship-building skills
  • Intermediate understanding and application of Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS)
  • Knowledge of ITAR and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) desired
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Experience with government and defense contracting
  • Knowledge of L3Harris products, systems, and processes

Responsibilities

  • Manage day-to-day program operations to ensure they align with the strategic goals and objectives of the Agile EO business area and ISR portfolio
  • Serve as the Deputy Program Manager for program execution, supporting the Portfolio Lead
  • Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal teams to maintain strong customer relationships and satisfaction while adhering to contractual requirements and L3Harris policies and procedures
  • Be able to lead capture management activities on critical pursuits for the portfolio and business area
  • Support proposal development, ensuring compliance with customer requirements and company standards
  • Determine resource needs and coordinate deployment of cross-functional expertise across Space and Airborne Systems, to drive success within programs and capture efforts
  • Leverage Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS) to manage and monitor program performance, schedule, and cost
  • Identify risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential issues affecting program success
  • Coordinate with contracts, finance, engineering, and other departments to ensure alignment and support for program goals while identifying opportunities for more efficient program execution
  • Mentor and develop program team members to enhance their skills and effectiveness across all team functions, with a focus on control account managers and integrated product team leads
  • Travel as needed (up to 20%)
