About The Position

The Technical Project Manager role will support the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) utilizing expertise in support of a fast paced managed application hosting program. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for the planning, coordination, requirements gathering, business analysis, specifications development, project planning, project monitoring, and project status reporting and system quality of over 60 applications supported by Sev1Tech. Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Establish, manage and implement processes and strategies for all technical personnel Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all staff are actively working toward established milestones Hold regular technical team meetings with customers and staff to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects, including cloud migrations Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when assisting with purchase decisions Recruit and train exceptional employees to fulfill posted positions within the technical department Update and maintain documentation and reporting to ensure contractual obligations are met Provide proposal writing support for new initiatives supporting the growth of the program and the company Manage projects with top-down oversight throughout entire execution to ensure success as defined by adherence to standards of scope, budget, and timeline. Develop comprehensive project plans that merge customer requirements with company goals and coordinate various managers and technical personnel during all project phases, from initial development through implementation. Monitor project progress continuously and make detailed scheduled reports on measurable items, such as milestones and deliverables. Anticipate details of future projects by communicating directly with customers and staying informed of relevant trends and industry news

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems Management or similar preferred required
  • Minimum 8 years management experience providing Project Management support in the IT field, including IT development and operations and interactions with federal customers
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms and security compliance tools is required.

  • Clearance: Must be able to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship able to get a Public Trust clearance with HHS
  • Certification: PMP preferred; will consider without the certification but the willingness to take PMP or CAPM
