Tria Federal (Tria) is seeking an experienced Deputy Program Manager to lead a high-visibility contract supporting the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED) Improvement Sciences Directorate. This role will oversee enterprise-wide initiatives in Continuous Process Improvement (CPI), Project and Portfolio Management (PM), and Knowledge Management (KM) across Navy Medicine. This position will join a team of administrative professionals supporting healthcare operations, healthcare policy planning and management, and integration and implementation of military healthcare-related policies and programs. This successful candidate will analyze and optimize processes, with an understanding of technical problems and solutions as they relate to the current and future business environment. This opportunity is hybrid (60% onsite, 40% contractor/virtual site). Onsite location is Bureau of Medicine and Surgery (BUMED), Falls Church, VA. Travel (15%) may be required for projects to include site visits, training, initiative implementation, and other requirements identified. Travel locations include: Naval Medical Forces Atlantic (NMFL), Portsmouth, VA Naval Medical Forces Pacific (NMFP), San Diego, CA Naval Medical Forces Development Command (NMFDC), San Antonio, TX NMRTC/Us in the continental United States or overseas.

Requirements

  • DoD SECRET CLEARANCE
  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • PMP Certification (required)
  • 7+ years of program/project management experience after receiving PMP certification
  • Experience supporting DoD or federal healthcare programs
  • Demonstrated experience managing multi-functional teams

Nice To Haves

  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • 2 to 5 years of excellent skills in multitasking, prioritization and planning, schedule management, and the coordination of complex executive functions
  • Strong collaboration and teamwork skills with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Possess strong editorial and writing skills and a keen understanding of different audiences
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills
  • Preferred experience in a military health environment and an understanding of the military organization
  • Experience supporting BUMED, DHA, or Navy Medicine
  • Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma or CPI programs

Responsibilities

  • Supports PM as secondary interface with Government leadership, COR, and stakeholders
  • Coordinate daily operations for team and task management across BUMED directorates and action officers
  • Align tasking, project execution, deliverables, and reporting cycles
  • Support leadership briefings and operational updates
  • Ensure deliverables align with BUMED workflows and priorities
  • Serve as bridge between technical teams and Government stakeholders
