About The Position

CACI is seeking a Deputy Program Manager (Maryland) (DPM/MD) to join the MAJESTIC MUSTANG management team for one of CACI’s large programs, in Annapolis Junction, Maryland! This is a unique opportunity for a driven Deputy Program Manager with experience supporting a Program Manager in managing a large, and complex five-year Cost-Plus Award Fee contract supporting national security. As a Deputy Program Manager, you are an integral part of the Program Management Office for an enterprise-wide program delivering multi-disciplinary teams that produce superior results for our customers’ missions. You build trusted relationships with our customers and our employees to continue our organizations and clients’ successes. The successful candidate will assist in and lead the performance of tasks necessary to ensure the most efficient and effective execution of the contract, resulting in successful cost, schedule, and performance of the contract. The Deputy Program Manager assesses and mitigates performance risks to achieve results. This role not only delivers excellent customer services today but is also part of building the solutions for our future business growth! The DPM/MD’s primary focus is to ensure mission success, working with the Chief Talent and Tradecraft Advisor (CTTA), the Talent and Tradecraft Manager, Site Leads, Portfolio Leads, and Front-Line Leaders to ensure we have a ready and capable workforce. The DPM/MD performs the final mission fit of resumes and ensures the successful integration of new staff members through process oversight, mission lead communication, and collaboration with customer personnel. The DPM/MD forecasts upcoming staff additions and candidate processing snapshots and directs the PMO Staffing Team and Talent Acquisition to ensure a robust pipeline of candidates to meet program requirements.

Requirements

  • A ctive TS SCI clearance with polygraph
  • University degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of related work experience.
  • Experience in either DoD or IC organizations managing a large, 300+ FTE, geographically dispersed program
  • Ten (10) years' experience as a program/project manager managing a large contract or portfolio >$60M annually
  • Extensive experience with CPAF programs.
  • Extensive project/program management background.
  • Must have a PMP, FAC-P/PM Senior Level, or DAWIA Level 3 certification in Program Management
  • Must have demonstrated experience in conducting requirements analysis, resource allocation, project costing, deliverable tracking, schedule and financial data monitoring, and reporting
  • Must have at least one year of demonstrated experience in the management and control of funds and resources using complex reporting mechanisms such as EVM
  • Knowledgeable of the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations Supplement (DFARS), DoD 5000 series, and ICD 801 policies
  • Direct experience in managing multi-task contracts and subcontracts of various types and complexity, as well as experience in leading a multi-vendor environment
  • Direct experience in managing industry-specific program P&L to include forecasting and financial reporting.
  • Direct experience in reviewing and ensuring the quality and timeliness of required contract deliverables.
  • Understanding of requirements emerging from mission areas
  • Experience managing and working in a Customer/Cross functional team
  • Articulate with outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
  • Above average skills in using Microsoft Office/365 tools, specifically Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to deliver key CACI messaging across program employees and with customers, ensuring the CACI value is known and delivered every day.

Responsibilities

  • Be a trusted advisor at all levels of the program to provide advice and guidance on project and program management methodologies and measures of success.
  • Engage partners to build positive relationships, assist in develop of strategic and tactical plans to deliver project objectives, and direct the work to be executed.
  • Drive the team to achieve performance objectives for the program on schedule and within budget.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members to achieve complex goals.
  • Facilitate communication between staff, management, vendors, and other resources within and outside of the organization.
  • Interact with senior management to keep abreast of objectives.
  • Support direct reports and peers in management, customer organizations, and vendors to interpret information and improve cross-functional processes and projects.
  • Build and enhance key internal and external contacts.
  • Capture and track program risks and work with the organization to develop mitigations for the most critical risks.
  • Communicate program milestones, schedules, and risks to the team and to the broader organization.
  • Plan and execute team and leadership sessions required to support execution including advanced planning of key reviews, decisions, and action items.
  • Identify and facilitate timely resolution of significant issues impacting project delivery.
  • Build efficient and effective program management processes and facilitate the sharing of resources, methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Collaborate with practitioners across the team and with other areas to continuously improve the practice.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to meet technical program needs.
  • Meet regularly with the Government representatives at designated Government facilities.
  • Lead meetings with key stakeholders for the program to align on and make key decisions, remove obstacles, and address key program issues.
