Join GDIT to support the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) through our Network, Engineering, Design, Implementation, and Infrastructure Support (NEDIIS) program. As the Deputy Program Manager, you will help deliver secure, adaptable, and mission‑critical IT and telecommunications capabilities across VA’s enterprise. This role directly supports the VA Office of Information Technology (OIT), ensuring consistent delivery of high‑quality services that advance the VA mission serving millions of veterans nationwide. HOW THE DEPUTY PROGRAM MANAGER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: Support the Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing multi task, multi year telecommunications programs (IDIQ, BPA, TO, CPFF environments). Coordinate delivery of telecom infrastructure solutions including WAN/LAN modernization, fiber/OSP deployments, VoIP/SIP systems, wireless/5G solutions, and network optimization initiatives. Ensure program performance aligns with contract requirements, SLAs, KPIs, and federal acquisition guidelines. Assist in developing and maintaining program documentation including work plans, IPT briefs, contract deliverables, and transition plans. Oversee infrastructure and network architecture activities to ensure timely, efficient, and high quality technical designs. Support Gateway/TIC design, configuration, implementation, technical refresh, and configuration review efforts. Provide Tier IV escalation support for complex telecom and IT operational issues. Engage stakeholders across VA, ensuring clear communication, alignment, and delivery of mission focused outcomes.
