The Deputy Program Manager will oversee day-to-day contract operations for the Social Security Administration Program, ensuring efficient management of personnel, production goals, and operational plans. This role involves generating reports, managing billing, and acting as a Subject Matter Expert in case review processes, while also supporting recruitment and training efforts.

  • Learn and assume responsibility for day-to-day contract operations including hiring and training personnel, monitoring production, timesheets, leave management, and customer invoices.
  • Command all aspects of the case preparation process, ensuring production goals are met and operational plans are executed.
  • Generate end-of-month billing invoices for the finance team.
  • Create operational reports to monitor case intake and deliveries.
  • Provide data for weekly and monthly reports and compile monthly statistics on noteworthy events.
  • Allocate workload to ensure efficient delivery of background investigative and administrative services.
  • Assist the Program Manager in recruiting meetings and coordinate with HR for recruitment and processing of new team members.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for the case review process, including Pre-Field Document Review and Post-Field Adjudicative analysis.
  • Process second-level reviews of adjudications requiring No Determination Made or Unsuitable recommendations, and perform Quality Assurance reviews on delivered adjudication cases.
  • Maintain regular communications with team members to promote consistency.
  • Assist in all phases of operations, including surge support during high customer volume.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Knowledge of and experience with OPM Clearance Verification System (CVS), Defense Information System for Security (DISS), Electronic Questionnaire for Investigations Processing (e-QIP), Personnel Investigations Processing Systems (PIPS) and related databases preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of the case preparation process.
  • Supervisory or equivalent leadership experience preferred.
  • High oral communication skills to interact effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • High reasoning skills to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables.
  • High language skills to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, and governmental regulations, and to write reports and business correspondence.
  • High computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access), Internet, and E-mail.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to successfully undergo a background investigation to obtain U.S. Government security clearance.
