About The Position
The Deputy Program Manager (DPM) at Cole Engineering Services Inc. will play a crucial role in supporting the Program Manager for the Synthetic Training Environment (STE) Live Training Systems (LTS) project. This position is primarily focused on the production, fielding, training, and support of training systems, while also engaging with the technical engineering team and managing subcontractors. The DPM will be based at the UCF Research Park in Orlando, FL, and this is an in-person role, not remote or hybrid. In this position, the DPM will oversee the development, testing, documentation, fielding, and support of complex training systems and equipment. Responsibilities include managing the development and delivery of Contractor Required Delivery List items, supervising LTS staff personnel, and developing and executing project schedules. The DPM will also prepare Staffing Plans and Program Management Plans to support contract operations, manage program risks and mitigation plans, and develop Quality Assurance Programs for all products and services. Additionally, the DPM will work closely with logisticians to build processes that meet government requirements and collaborate with the test team and systems engineering team to ensure that products meet specified requirements. The role involves producing financial and technical reports to communicate project status to customers and company leadership, assigning tasks and responsibilities to team members, and ensuring that tasks are completed on schedule and within budget. The DPM will also perform horizontal integration planning and execution activities, interface with other corporate functional areas, and ensure that technical solutions and schedules are implemented effectively throughout the program. Furthermore, the DPM will be responsible for developing long-term and strategic objectives to ensure that end-user requirements are satisfied in future years of the contract.
