About The Position
The Butte County Probation Department is offering a $5,000 hiring bonus for the entry-level position of Deputy Probation Officer I. The salary range for this position is $1890.40 - $2533.60 biweekly, which translates to $23.63 - $31.67 per hour. Following the recruitment closing, qualified applicants will be invited to participate in a written examination tentatively scheduled for May 22, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. Notifications for the exam will be sent via email by May 14, 2025. Applicants who have taken the BSCC written exam for related positions within the last twelve months and received a T-Score of 47.0 or higher may be exempt from the written examination.
