About The Position
Looking to advance your career in law enforcement into an executive leadership role? Consider this Deputy Chief position with State Capitol Police. The Deputy Police Chief plans, directs, and coordinates activities of the Officers and Guards of the State Capitol Police under supervision of the Chief of Police. The Deputy Chief determines work schedules based on anticipated problems, planned activities, or emergency situations and reassigns police officers as situations arise which will require using additional force. This individual responds to requests for assistance, assists police officers investigating criminal incidents, relays orders and messages from superior to officers, and ensures compliance by members of the force with management directives.
