About The Position
The City of Kodiak is recruiting for a full-time Deputy Director (Finance). The Deputy Director is a broad management level classification, under the general supervision of the Finance Director, responsible for the administration of the general accounting, treasury and customer service functions within the Finance Department. May serve as acting Finance Director when directed by the Finance Director or City Manager. General accounting functions include general ledger accounting, payroll, accounts payable, financial reporting, capital asset accounting, grant accounting and reporting, project accounting and financial and accounting systems maintenance and support. Treasury and customer service functions include cash management and investments, accounts receivable and billings, business license/sales tax, electronic banking, bank and investment reconciliations.
