About The Position
Plans, directs, and manages assigned programs/activities of Metro's financial operations, including Budget, Treasury, Accounting, Local Programming, TAP (Transit Access Pass), and/or budget-related activities for Measure R projects and programs; develops and implements financial policies for Metro with the intent of ensuring financial compliance and efficient and effective use of available financial and human capital. DEO, Finance (Accounting) reports directly to the Controller and is responsible to oversee the operations of the general ledger/financial reporting, project accounting (grants billing), capital projects/fixed assets sections of the Accounting Department. These sections are responsible for the quarterly and annual preparation of the agency's comprehensive financial reports and submission of reimbursable expenditures to funding partners.
