About The Position
The NYC Department of Buildings is responsible for ensuring the safe and lawful use of buildings and properties by enforcing the NYC Construction Codes, Energy Code and Zoning Resolution. We facilitate compliant development with integrity, efficiency, and professionalism. The Department of Buildings Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Office is seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to serve as the Deputy EEO Officer. The Deputy EEO Officer will work directly with the Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Officer, the Deputy EEO Officer is responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of the agency's EEO operations to ensure compliance with the City's EEO Policy and applicable federal, state and local laws. Performance of these duties requires collaboration with various internal units as well as liaising with other City agencies including DCAS.
