The Deputy Enterprise Project Manager is responsible for assisting the Enterprise Project Manager in coordinating, managing, and overseeing significant projects across Austin Bank including strategic, operational, technology, compliance, risk, and regulatory initiatives and managing multiple, simultaneous projects, and deadlines. Serving as the central point of tracking and reporting on all deliverables throughout the project lifecycle. This role ensures consistent planning, prioritization, governance, and delivery of projects aligned with Austin Bank’s strategic objectives, risk appetite, and OCC regulatory expectations. The Deputy Enterprise Project Manager partners with the Enterprise Project Manager to work with executive leadership, project business owners, department heads, Compliance, Risk Management, Internal Audit, IT, business line leaders, and other stakeholders to balance strategic growth, operational efficiency, and regulatory discipline in a relationship-focused community bank environment. Bank-Wide Project Oversight Will assist the Enterprise Project Manger in performing the following and work under their direction to achieve proficiency in the following. Serve as the central coordinator for all enterprise-level and department-initiated projects (as decided by Management) across the Bank. Works with the Business Owner to prepare and submit Project Recommendations to IT Steering Committee when appropriate. Acts as Administrator in the Project Management software. Manage the formal project intake process, risk assessment, prioritization, and approval process which may include standardized project documentation, scopes, timelines, milestones, expectations, budgets (when applicable), and risk/issue logs. o Plans projects in order to accomplish goals within constraints such as time cost and agreed standards. o Creates and implements a project communication plan to include periodic project updates. o For each project, assists with the building of an effective team, assigns tasks to team members, and evaluates outcomes in tandem with the project Business Owner. o Manages adherence to the project deadlines and resources, communicating any inconsistencies immediately to avoid project delays. o Documents and manages stakeholder expectations, both internally and externally o Utilizing the results of the group project risk assessment, works with the project team to minimize the Bank’s exposure and risk on projects. Maintain a consolidated, bank-wide project portfolio and roadmap. Act as the primary liaison between project sponsors, executive management, and cross-functional teams. Prepare clear, concise enterprise project reporting for senior management and committees. Escalate risks, conflicts, and delays with recommended mitigation strategies. Coordinate with Compliance, Risk Management, Third-party Vendor Management, Internal Audit, and other stakeholders, to embed controls, documentation, and regulatory requirements into projects. Support OCC examinations, audits, MRAs, and assist with any remediation decisions by tracking related project activity and evidence. Establish and maintain Austin Bank’s enterprise project management standards, templates, and reporting. Support management committees by providing visibility into project status, risks, and interdependencies. Continuously refine project governance as the Bank grows and evolves. Ensure that any project-related vendor and third-party activities across departments are addressed by the appropriate parties. Monitor vendor deliverables and escalate performance or compliance issues impacting projects. General understanding of banking terms and processes which may include the following: o Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) o Compliance Management Systems (CMS) o Internal audit and issue management o Third-Party Risk Management o Familiarity with applicable regulations (BSA/AML, CRA, Fair Lending, GLBA, UDAP/UDAAP, data security).
