Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell is looking for a highly motivated attorney with extensive prosecutorial experience to join her management team as Deputy Division Chief of the Enterprise & Major Crimes Division within the Criminal Bureau. The division is staffed by a group of experienced prosecutors who partner with intelligence analysts, Massachusetts State Police troopers assigned to the Attorney General’s Office, and local, state, and federal investigative and enforcement agencies to investigate and prosecute large-scale narcotics trafficking organizations throughout the Commonwealth. Primary Duties: The Deputy Division Chief will assist with managing the division’s Assistant Attorneys General and other staff. Supervisory responsibility will include overseeing the investigation and prosecution of cases, reviewing search warrants sought in connection with investigations, and mentoring division staff and assisting them with skills development. The Deputy Division Chief will also handle his or her own caseload of primarily narcotics and firearms-related matters from investigation through sentencing. The work involves extensive collaboration with law enforcement, grand jury investigations throughout the Commonwealth, complex motion practice, and frequent appearances before the Commonwealth’s District and Superior Courts for motions, pleas, and trials. The Deputy Division Chief will be expected to communicate effectively with outside agencies, and to maintain and foster those relationships.
