Under general direction from the TIDA Director, the Deputy Director of Strategic Initiatives is responsible for leading a multi-disciplinary team (including TIDA contractors, consultants and TIDA staff) in coordinating the successful planning and redevelopment of Treasure Island and Yerba Buena Island. This includes development agreement implementation; infrastructure and affordable housing construction; transportation program development and system implementation; environmental and land remediation; parks and open space planning and construction; development and implementation of resiliency strategies; and inclusive and equitable urban and land use planning policies informed by transparent and meaningful public engagement and TIDA Board policy priorities. This position is one of two deputy positions in TIDA (with the other being the Chief Operating Officer, who has general responsibility for overseeing the day-to-day island operations and managing TIDA’s finances and administrative programs).
