About The Position

The Deputy Director supports the Director of Federal Programs in directing the Developmental Disabilities Administration (DDA) operated federal programs. The DDA�operates Maryland's largest 1915(c) Medicaid waiver program�known as the�Community Pathways waiver�and Targeted Case Management (TCM) State Plan Services referred to as Coordination of Community Services. These programs have a broad scope and major impact on DDA's missions and operations for fiscally accountable community-based services and supports. The Deputy Director acts in the capacity of the Director in their absence.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and 6 years of professional health services experience, including 4 years of professional experience related to developmental disabilities and at least 3 years of supervisory experience.
  • Candidates may substitute additional health services experience for the education requirement on a year for year basis.

  • Experience with project management.
  • Experience with data analysis, program reporting, and creating dashboards.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of the 1915c HBCS waiver.
  • Technical writing skills to include policy writing.�
  • Familiarity with State policies.�
  • Proficiency in Google suite and other database software.
  • Team player and critical thinker.
