About The Position
The position is located in the Metropolitan Police Department (MPD), Executive Office of the Chief of Police (EOCOP), Patrol Operations Chief (POC), Youth and Family Engagement Division (YFED), Cadet Corps Branch (CCB). The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing, leading, directing, and coordinating all program efforts. This includes supervising planning and execution of all management-wide program efforts, exercising direct supervisory responsibility over sworn and professional staff, and determining priorities to ensure coordination in support of Unit goals and objectives. The role also involves preparing staffing reports, proposing recommendations for operational enhancements, drafting and revising operating procedures, and reviewing compliance inspection reports. The incumbent will contribute to management's identification of financial, personnel, and material needs, assist in budget development, participate in candidate interviews, and oversee attendance and leave schedules. The position requires travel to meetings and conferences as needed.
