Processes, records, maintains and serves civil and criminal documents as needed. Patrols precinct as a deterrent to crime. Assists public within scope of authority. Maintains good investigative skills to work with gang and drug related crimes and to locate wanted person. Secures and preserves crime scenes. May work with traffic enforcement/traffic investigation. Composes and types memos and correspondence; prepares and distributes invoices. Tracks, balances, monitors and reconciles budget items. Responds to telephone inquiries and/or directs to proper person. Organizes and maintains filing system for state records. Assists other employees with their duties; trains office staff as needed. Participates in activities and duties related to emergency management during a local state of disaster as directed by appropriate county managers.
