The Deputy Communications Director - Housing & Planning responsibilities include but are not limited to: Manage strategic communications for the Deputy Mayors’ portfolios of agencies and issue areas and serve as the event lead for Mayoral announcements. Coordinate and guide generative strategic ideas to further the mayor’s key policy priorities – in particular as they relate to NYCHA, HPD, HDC, CPD and the mayor’s rent freeze agenda Serve as an advisor to the Director of Communications and other senior administration officials. Prepare agencies for hearings and ensure that key issues include the perspective of City Hall. Craft long-term plans on Mayoral issue areas. Provide message guidance to the Mayor’s Press Office and agencies.
