Following the best current data on “what works,” staff at DOP engage in meaningful relationships with those on probation to enhance community safety and decrease recidivism. The Deputy Commissioner for Administration, under the executive direction of the Commissioner and Chief of Staff with wide latitude for the exercise of independent action and decision making, will be responsible for providing direct oversight and coordination between the Office of Information Technology, Financial Operations, Procurement Unit, Facilities Management, Fleet Operations, Salvage Operations, Human Resources and Labor Relations in support of agency wide initiatives. Additionally, this position will work closely with senior level staff at the Office of Management Budget, Mayor’s Office of Contracts, Office of the Mayor, Office of Labor Relations and DCAS, in furtherance of the Agency’s interests and implementing the Commissioner’s goals.
