About The Position
The Deputy Clerk position at the Chesapeake General District Court involves performing a wide variety of clerical and courtroom duties under the general supervision of the supervisor of the Traffic/Criminal Post-Court Division. The lead deputy clerk serves as a back-up to the supervisor and is responsible for ensuring that the day-to-day operations of the division are carried out effectively. This role requires adherence to established policies and procedures based on Virginia statutes, rules, and local ordinances.
