The Deputy CIO - Operations & Service Delivery Systems (IS) will lead enterprise-wide operational strategy, performance, and service delivery for all Information Systems functions within a large, complex academic health system. Reporting directly to the Enterprise CIO, the leader will be accountable for driving operational excellence, aligning IS with clinical, academic, and business priorities, and building a high-performing team across all IS domains. This executive will oversee IS service management, performance measurement, value realization, and change management, ensuring that technology investment decisions deliver measurable business impact. Serving as a key partner in translating enterprise strategy into operational execution, the IS COO optimizes service delivery and sustains a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of IT operations in healthcare, demonstrated success in strategic leadership, cross-functional collaboration, and operational rigor. A proven track record of leading complex service portfolios, managing large-scale transformations, and aligning IS with enterprise goals is essential. This position is particularly well-suited for a former CIO or senior IT executive from a smaller healthcare organization seeking to scale impact within a leading academic health system.
