About The Position

As the Deputy Assistant Director, Adjudication and Vetting Services, this position will be responsible for developing and implementing security procedures to ensure the integrity and trustworthiness of the workforce. The role directs mission requirements across a broad range of activities and has a wide scope of impact in the DoD and Federal personnel security community, including civilian, military, and industrial personnel. The position provides authoritative guidance and oversight on security procedures, ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, and policies, and offers policy for personnel security, security clearance eligibility, credentialing, suitability, Security Review Proceedings (SRP), and the National Industrial Support Program (NISP). Additionally, the Deputy Assistant Director collaborates with other DCSA components, DoD agencies, and federal partners to ensure a unified approach to security procedures review, and is responsible for ensuring effective communication with Security Managers, Facility Security Officers, and DoD component stakeholders. The role also involves representing DCSA on national-level committees and in conferences, preparing and presenting high-level briefings, and analyzing the effectiveness of security procedures to identify areas for improvement.
