About The Position

The position involves direct supervision of a minimum of 1800 accounts and/or 6 employees in one or two depots. The role requires adherence to the organization's policies, procedures, and applicable Federal/State laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and addressing complaints and resolving problems. The supervisor will work closely with the District Manager to ensure Depot performance in both KPIs and Safety compliance.

Requirements

  • Ability to lead and motivate subordinates through a positive safety first, goal-oriented, and productive mindset.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret established SOPs, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively all SOPs installation challenges to various departments.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the permitting procedures, where applicable.
  • Basic mathematical skills - addition, subtraction, multiplication, percentages, decimals, and division.
  • Basic Microsoft Office computer skills.
  • Experience using UltiPro Payroll System, Inventory Control Programs, Microsoft Office products preferred.

Nice To Haves

  • College degree useful, but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of two years experience as a supervisor preferred.
  • Previous experience in plumbing, cable installation, or construction experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervise a minimum of 1800 accounts and/or 6 employees in a depot or in two depots.
  • Adhere to and enforce the organization's policies, procedures, and Federal/State applicable laws.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees.
  • Plan, assign, and direct work.
  • Appraise performance and reward/discipline employees.
  • Address complaints and resolve problems.
  • Manage and sign off on employee payroll system.
  • Manage and train drivers on DOT Compliance Hours of Service.
  • Conduct daily and monthly audits of company vehicles, equipment, and facility.
  • Review completed trips report to ensure route completion and productivity.
  • Manage and adjust workloads in the routing system for deliveries and service.
  • Review completed service and installation activities using company approved SOPs.
  • Manage and accurately report daily and monthly inventory.
  • Submit trip records if driving an apportion plated vehicle.
  • Fax monthly Safety topic sign-off sheet to the District Safety Manager.
  • Complete Monthly Safety Assessment Audits.
  • Complete End of Month Inventory.
  • Review vehicle PM Schedules and coordinate service work.
  • Submit End of Month Mileage for all company vehicles.
  • Complete Associate Performance reviews and Driver Required Training.
  • Complete Ride-A-longs while reviewing the Smith System process.
  • Complete VK inspections on Bulk Trucks, if certified.
