About The Position
The Deposit Services Specialist - IRA Administration position is integral to the operations of The First National Bank in Sioux Falls, focusing on the administration and management of customer deposit accounts, particularly Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs). This role encompasses a variety of tasks aimed at ensuring the accuracy, compliance, and efficiency of deposit and IRA services. The specialist will collaborate closely with both internal teams and external partners to deliver a seamless customer experience while adhering to regulatory standards. In this role, the specialist will be responsible for deposit processing, reconciliation, and maintenance. This includes processing deposit servicing maintenance and reconciliation, ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate. The specialist will also handle new account openings, assist with IRA savings and IRA CD administrative support, and complete necessary reporting. Investigating and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner is also a key responsibility, ensuring that the bank maintains its reputation for excellent service. Quality control is another critical aspect of this position. The specialist will deliver accurate, compliant, and customer-focused support, contributing to the bank's overall service reputation. This includes verifying critical fields, confirming receipt of signature cards, and reviewing system reports to solve problems and correct errors. The role also involves mail processing and distribution, ensuring the secure handling of incoming and outgoing mail, assisting teammates with mail-related inquiries, and maintaining compliance with return mail processes. Overall, the Deposit Services Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the bank's operations and ensuring that customer deposit accounts are managed effectively and efficiently, all while upholding the bank's strong values and commitment to community involvement.
