Marine Corps Community Services (MCCS) is looking for the best and brightest to join our Team!   • Reports to the unit Commander at the Colonel Level.
  • Oversees the Commander's Unit, Personal Family Readiness Program (UPFRP) for the designated units.
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert for the UPFRP and supports its mission to aid individual Marines in their responsibility to attain and maintain personal and family readiness.
  • Plans, coordinates and executes administrative and logistical requirements for UPFRP events.
  • Delivers additional briefs and presentations as directed by the Commander.
  • Develops and implements UPFRP communication plan of action.
  • Conducts proactive outreach and multi-faceted communication efforts.
  • Prepares and distributes official communication to Marines and designated family members.
  • Maintains contact and coordination with MCCS regarding the effectiveness of programs and services.
  • Assists the Commander with volunteer appointments and/or removal.
  • Welcomes new families to the unit and provides information regarding available resources.
  • Establishes and maintains liaison with DRCs within the same command.
  • Analyzes and interprets Marine Corps Orders, policies, rules and regulations related to the UPFRP.
  • Maintains direct contact with HQMC to provide specific UPFRP information.
  • Monitors and maintains non-appropriated fund allocations.
  • Assesses family readiness training and education needs of unit Marines and families.
  • Provides World Class Customer Service with an emphasis on professionalism and courtesy.
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and three years of related military family life experience.
  • Demonstrated skill to serve as a representative to provide command family readiness outreach.
  • Ability to resolve situations as they arise and work with wide latitude for independent action.
  • Must possess sound communication skills (oral and written), presentation skills, interpersonal skills, and social poise.
  • Must have coalition building skills and sufficient experience to effectively support families in crisis.
  • Must be detail-oriented, organized and adaptable.
  • Must have the skill to successfully manage the work of volunteers.
  • Operating knowledge of Microsoft Office software suites and web-based applications.
  • Experience in a military environment.
  • Knowledge of family support programs and resources.
