About The Position

The Deployment Planner at Hormel Foods is responsible for deploying products to distribution centers in a timely manner to ensure all orders are filled. This role requires ensuring proper code date rotation and that inventory meets order code date restrictions. The planner must be aware of all inventory, its location, code dates, and where it must be to fill orders. Additionally, the position involves coordinating orders placed with copackers, which includes submitting orders and coordinating transportation, as well as coordinating the direct shipment of products from Hormel plants and multiple Cold Storage facilities.

Requirements

• Demonstrated ability to handle detail work accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to initiate appropriate action independently with minimal managerial supervision.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Demonstrated problem solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
