About The Position

Deployment Leads at Gecko Robotics are the driving force behind delivering mission impact to the U.S. Navy Surface Fleet. This role sits at the intersection of customer value, product strategy, and execution, acting as the connective tissue between Navy stakeholders and Gecko’s robotics and AI platform. As a Navy Sustainment Deployment Lead, you will own high-impact deployments focused on improving fleet readiness, availability execution, and lifecycle decision-making. You will lead cross-functional teams to deploy Gecko’s technology across shipyards, maintenance activities, and operational commands—ensuring outcomes that directly improve surface fleet resilience. This is a highly dynamic, customer-facing role where you will operate across NAVSEA, SEA21, PAE Maritime, and other fleet stakeholders to solve complex sustainment challenges at scale.

Requirements

  • 7+ years experience in program delivery, consulting, product, or operations in complex environments
  • Experience working with the U.S. Navy, DoD, or maritime sustainment ecosystem
  • Proven ability to manage large, cross-functional efforts with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into decisions
  • Excellent communication skills across technical and executive audiences
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous, fast-paced environments and drive outcomes

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Navy maintenance, shipyards, or fleet operations (NAVSEA, SURFMEPP, RMCs)
  • Familiarity with CBM+, or digital twin / condition-based maintenance systems
  • Background in engineering, data analytics, or systems integration
  • Experience deploying software or data platforms in operational environments
  • Understanding of structural inspection, corrosion, or lifecycle modeling

Responsibilities

  • Own Surface Fleet Deployments
  • Drive execution from initial problem definition through delivery across availabilities, maintenance cycles, and modernization efforts
  • Translate Gecko’s platform into operational and strategic value for Navy stakeholders
  • Lead Availability Execution
  • Work with Product Strategists and Engineering to build and scale the structural health model as a foundational data layer across the fleet
  • Reduce growth work and schedule risk at the depot and shipyard level
  • Establish authoritative structural condition baselines using robotic inspection and executed work
  • Forecast degradation and inform Availability Work Packages (AWPs) and maintenance planning
  • Lead Teams and Execution
  • Lead cross-functional teams of Forward Deployed Engineers, operators, and analysts
  • Partner with Product and Engineering to shape solutions that scale across the fleet
  • Navigate ambiguity, align stakeholders, and maintain momentum in complex environments
  • Own Customer Relationships
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Navy customers post-award
  • Build trust across technical, operational, and senior leadership stakeholders
  • Manage expectations, communicate progress, and expand mission impact over time
