About The Position

Advanced Technology Systems Company (ATSC) has an exciting position for a Deployment Lead for a high visibility program. The Deployment Lead oversees the planning, installation, and maintenance of networked cutting-edge technology-based security and surveillance systems. This role involves leading cross-functional teams to execute site surveys, construction, technology integration (cameras, sensors, radar, communication/network and power generation systems), and system integration and testing, collaborating with DHS customers. The Deployment Lead will have good communication skills and work closely with our customer stakeholders and subcontractors to provide status to ensure systems are successfully deployed on time.

Requirements

  • Individual should have a minimum of 3 years of experience integrating and fielding complex systems and overseeing capital asset deployments (example, concurrent deployments and construction of numerous systems annually) involving technology and/or communications rollouts.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Communication Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical, Engineering, Information systems, Mathematics Education, or similar degree is required. Demonstrated experience may be substituted for bachelor’s degree.
  • Domestic and international travel will be required.
  • Ability to get a CBP BI clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience leading deployment programs of capital assets or complex systems in austere environments for DHS or Defense organizations is preferred.
  • 7 + years of experience in managing deployment projects of similar scope, type, and complexity within the Federal government is required.
  • Experience working with similar programs for DHS or Defense organizations and international customers is preferred
  • Prepare and complete action plans to be presented to the Government.
  • Ability to provide direction and mentoring to project team members, set appropriate goals and work with the team to provide efficient management of the deployment.
  • Experience documenting deployment processes and procedures
  • Proven ability to ensure compliance, and manage administrative requirements
  • Familiarity with security and surveillance infrastructure including sensor systems, power generation equipment, and networking (fiber/microwave).
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire project lifecycle for Security and surveillance system upgrades and installations, including site surveys, material logistics, construction scheduling, and final system testing.
  • Lead multidisciplinary field teams comprising engineers, technicians, and field service representatives, and subcontractors to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for DHS customer stakeholders, providing status reports, managing expectations, and resolving issues.
  • Identify and evaluate potential risks to project success (e.g., logistical delays, environmental issues), developing mitigation strategies to minimize impact.
  • Ensure all installations comply with corporate, OSHA, and project-specific safety standards.
  • Support the development of financial forecasts, manage budgets, and oversee subcontractor negotiations.
