About The Position

With a team of over 80 people, we provide AI phone agents to customers like Better.com, focusing on delivering friendly, helpful, and human-like interactions. The Deployment Engineer role is crucial for transforming customer needs into functional AI agents, ensuring they deliver real value and integrate seamlessly into customer workflows.

Requirements

• 1–5 years of experience in full-stack, AI, or solutions engineering roles.
• Proven experience building and integrating AI or automation features.
• Hands-on experience integrating LLMs or AI SDKs into web applications.
• Strong comfort with REST/JSON, scripting languages (Python or JavaScript), and modern dev tools (Git, NPM/PNPM).
• Track record of ownership and grit in building solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex AI concepts.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-moving, high-intensity environment.
• Willingness to work in-person frequently at SF HQ and customer sites.

Nice To Haves

• Hands-on experience with LLM-powered tools or agents.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI solutions by translating customer challenges into functional agents.
• Prototype quickly and iterate based on real-world feedback.
• Collaborate with customer teams across engineering, product, and operations.
• Own end-to-end delivery from discovery call to deployment.
• Drive adoption and expansion by sharing results and training teams.
• Act as the face of Bland, building strong relationships with customers.
