Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Manager, Information Systems Engineer (level 1) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within our NG organization. This role is located in Beale, CA.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor of Science in an Information Systems discipline with at least 6 years of applied relevant professional / military experience.
  • In lieu of formal education, a HS Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of applied relevant professional / military experience may be considered.
  • Must have an active DoD Top Secret clearance.
  • Must have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain an FAA Third Class Flight Physical Certification.
  • Must be able to attain and maintain a DoDI 8570 certification.
  • Must be willing to work a flexible work schedule that may include extended shifts, holidays and weekends.
  • Must be able to support shift work and/or rotating weekend/night work schedule.
  • Must meet medical requirements for worldwide travel.
  • Must have and maintain a valid U.S. passport.

  • Experience with Solaris 10 Unix Operating Systems and Principles.

Responsibilities

  • Provide objective-oriented direction and work assignments to team members.
  • Act as a Control Account Manager (CAM), managing information system functions for planning, optimization, configuration, and integration of diverse IT disciplines.
  • Manage one or more information systems functions for a specific user group/functional area for a site, or the entire organization.
  • Analyze, select and modify application software, install network hardware and software, and manage database integrity.
  • Coordinate delivery of services to user groups and ensure IT service is uninterrupted.
  • Select, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
  • Prepare proposals and Bases of Estimates and manage to a Statement of Work (SOW).
  • Interpret SOW to find the most effective and efficient way to assist customers in finding solutions.
  • Coordinate and collaborate with customers, peer group managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Develop training and career development pathways for assigned staff.
  • Prepare and standardize processes to improve business operations.
  • Manage complex IT systems to the customer.
