The County of San Diego is seeking a Departmental Human Resources Officer (DHRO) to play a pivotal role in shaping the culture and fostering relationships within the organization. In this role, the DHRO will coordinate the selection, hiring, and onboarding processes for departmental staff, working in tandem with the Department of Human Resources to devise effective recruitment and outreach strategies aimed at attracting high-quality candidates. The DHRO will also provide guidance to departmental managers on a range of human resources matters, conduct investigations, and implement County-wide human resources policies. Additionally, the position may involve supervising professional, paraprofessional, and clerical staff, ensuring that all human resources functions are executed efficiently and effectively. The ideal candidate will possess a thorough understanding of Diversity and Inclusion principles, demonstrating the ability to incorporate and promote these concepts throughout their work.
